A case study that S2imaging assisted with was a medical eye clinic with several reception check-in points, multiple exam rooms, various medical expertise areas, corporate office areas, conference room/employee break areas, etc. Their customers would walk into a very open reception area with general check-in desks back 20-30 feet, optometry check in to the left about 20 feet and contact lens check-in behind the general check-in points. Patients, especially those with visual issues, found it difficult to know where to start. Working with the interior planning specialist, we layed out a plan to simplify the furniture layout and to label the appropriate paths. The signage needed to be extremely readable and yet fit in with the aesthetics of the facility. The plan included producing prototypes and layouts for approval, fabrication of the sign pieces, selection of the hardware to mount/hang each piece and professional installation. Patient flow was immediately improved and wait times were reduced.
