Preparing a File
Designing for large-format printing is simple if you follow a few basic rules and guidelines:
- all images should be180dpi or greater at finished printed size for best results;
- prepare artwork at full scale or no less that 25% of full scale;
- all images should be in their native CMYK format. If in RGB, convert to CMYK;
- Include all links and fonts or convert all graphics and text to outlines (vector format) when sending a file;
- Provide bleed as per the templates for each hardware configuration;
- file types we accept include vector pdf, eps, ai and psd. Our design department supports:
- Abobe Illustrator CS5
- Adobe Photoshop CS5
- Adobe PageMaker
- Adobe In-Design CS5
- Freehand
If color matching is important, you can specify Pantone colors in your job; be sure to make note of them in the special instructions that accompany your files. Or, you can send us a hardcopy of what you want us to match (brochure, etc). We will do our best to “hit” those colors.
Upload your files to our FTP site with the completed form. We will confirm receipt of your files and when we will begin production. If you have an “in your hands, drop dead date” be sure we know your requirements. Take note that we will factor in shipping time to ensure your date is met.
