DOs |
DON'Ts |
|
Food |
Do
insure that you, and your
Tradeshow booths,
look and smell your very best. |
Don't eat in the trade
show booth.
There are few things less inviting. People
naturally don't want to interrupt while someone is
eating, so you may never know the sales you may
miss by sneaking a bite. Not to mention the
potential for spils, crumbs and food odor. Eating
and drinking are what scheduled breaks are for. |
|
Beverages |
Do
keep a tidy trade show
booth. |
Don't risk spilling
Like eating, don't drink in
trade show booths.
Insure that your potential customer won't ruin
their new suit with the coffee you just spilled. |
|
Storage |
Do
Insure your tradeshow
display booth looks it's very best, not
like the trade show coatroom or lost and found. |
Don't leave your personal items
(brief case, trade show trinkets, jackets, etc.)
lying around in the
tradeshow display exhibit area.
|
|
Talking |
Do
Show your customers how important they are by
being poised to do business. |
Don't talk
excessively with other booth staffers .
|
|
Sitting |
Do
.Ensure that you look ready for business by
limiting your time sitting. |
Don't
Sit down while working a trade show vistors will
assume you are lazy and that you don't really care
about their potential business. |
|
Perfectionism |
Do
focus your attention on your customers and
prospects during show time. |
Don't fuss
with the
tradeshow display exhibits. The time
to work on your trade
show booth design is before the show
starts. If you did not get to the show floor in
time to finish set- up, that was your first
problem. |
|
Booth Services
|
Do
order your tradeshow
exhibit booths services early. Depending on
the size of your
tradeshow display exhibit, you can save
hundreds if not thousands of dollars by ordering
your services such as electrical and carpet early.
The savings could pay for that pre-show direct
mail list you didn't think you could fit in the
budget! |
Don't procrastinate
or get caught off guard with un-anticipated
tradeshow exhibit booth
amenities, like additional lighting or
internet access to your booth. Proper logistical
planning can save your company money and makes for
a considerably less stressful tradeshow
experience. |
|
Business Cards
|
Do
bring more than enough business cards it should be
your number one marketing tool. |
Don't rely on
writing your name on the back of a brochure, odds
are that more than 50% won't make it back to the
office. A card in the pocket is better than two
in the trash. |
|
Working with Show Labor
|
Do
make a point of getting to know your exhibit hall
supervisor or installation labor staff. Thank
them. They can become your best friends in a time
of need. |
Don't buck the system.
Disgruntled installation labor staff can make your
life miserable bumping the assembly of your booth
to the bottom of their to do list.. |
|
Shoes
|
Do wear
something appropriate for business, but something
you'll be able to stand in for hours on end in
trade show exhibit
booths |
Don't
wear new or particularly flashy shoes that have
the potential of being uncomfortable.Your feet
will thank you later. |
